Who is Frigya for, and who is it not for?
Frigya is a vocabulary-focused language learning app built on spaced repetition. Below we say honestly who it suits, where it may fall short and how it differs from other approaches.
Frigya may suit you if...
You want to grow your vocabulary systematically. Frigya separates new words (Discover) from review (Learn), spaces the reviews and lets you pick your daily goal (5, 10, 20, 40 or 50 words).
You want to study by level. Words are grouped by A1–C2 and for each language you choose which levels to study.
You want a short daily routine. You can start as a guest without an account and do ten-minute sessions in an ad-free, simple interface.
You want to study more than one language. You can add as many of the 11 languages other than your own as you like.
Frigya may fall short if...
You want speaking practice. Frigya offers audio but is not an app that evaluates your speaking or pronunciation; you need speaking practice separately.
You want to learn grammar from scratch, lesson by lesson. Frigya is not a structured grammar course; it is a vocabulary routine.
You want official exam-preparation content. Frigya does not provide official preparation for exams such as IELTS or TOEFL; it can support your vocabulary study.
You want to design your own cards and decks. Frigya works with ready-made words grouped by level; we do not present custom card creation as a feature on this site.
How it differs from other approaches
Flashcard apps: You usually manage the words and review logic yourself. They are very flexible but take setup effort. Frigya starts with ready, level-based words and manages review timing for you.
Course-based language apps: They combine speaking, listening and grammar in a curriculum. Frigya focuses only on vocabulary, so it makes more sense beside a course-based app than instead of one.
Paper cards and notebooks: Cheap and flexible, but managing the schedule by hand is tiring. You can apply the spaced repetition idea this way too (What is spaced repetition? A plain-English guide for language learners).
What we do not know or do not claim
Frigya is a new app. We make no promise about how many words you will learn in how many days, and we do not claim user numbers, ratings or reviews. You will see the exact free and premium scope in the app itself.
